Introduction - Overview
Course Description
Congenital anomalies are the most important cause of fetal pathology during pregnancy.
Between 7 to 10% of all fetuses have a congenital anomaly. The detection of anatomical congenital anomalies is one of the objectives of prenatal control. The information required for the diagnosis and management of the obstetric patient with a fetal congenital anomaly requires knowledge of a variety of disciplines including diagnostic imaging, specifically ultrasound.
The purpose of this course is to achieve the training and acquisition of the necessary skills for the diagnosis of congenital anomalies by ultrasound, guided by the recognition patterns, and the biomarkers of the fetal systems - POCUS in Fetal Medicine - Point of Care Ultrasound in Maternal Fetal Medicine created by the FIMMF.
We have created a course that ensures the acquisition of skills for the recognition of congenital anomalies through simulation and Hands ON of 100 congenital anomalies.
This course is the only course in the world that allows the recognition of 100 congenital anomalies and is original by Dr. Mauricio Herrera, together with doctors Jader Cruz from Portugal, Eran Bornstein from the United States and Mandeep Singh from the United Arab Emirates with the endorsement of the International Foundation for Maternal Fetal Medicine.
This year we joined with VINNO who is the exclusive sponsor in Cartagena of the Prenatal Diagnosis of Congenital Anomalies Course.
I hope to see you in Cartagena, an emblematic city of the Colombian Caribbean and considered a cultural heritage of humanity.
Mauricio Herrera
